ABOUT Chef Katie

Katie Williams is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Portland, Oregon, and the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She has traveled extensively to learn about and experience different cultures and cuisines. With over a decade of culinary experience, Katie founded Spiced! Culinary Creations in her hometown of Charleston, SC, and more recently, she opened Chefs Collective in late 2024—a space that offers cooking classes for the public and serves as an incubator and commissary kitchen for culinary entrepreneurs.
Born and raised in Charleston, Katie worked as a server while attending the College of Charleston, where she developed an appreciation for the hospitality industry while earning a degree in Psychology. Her love for the creativity of the kitchen led her to Le Cordon Bleu, where she graduated in the Top 5 of her class. Over the next decade, Katie honed her skills in a variety of quality dining establishments, including two Michelin-star restaurants in New York and several upscale restaurants in Charleston, where she gained exposure to various food preparation techniques. She also served as the head chef in a remote Alaskan lodge.
Katie’s passion for food has taken her across the globe, from Thailand and Cambodia to Morocco and Central America, where she sought out hands-on learning experiences. With Spiced! Culinary Creations, Katie brings a diverse knowledge of international and American cuisine to the table, while continuing to inspire others through her culinary expertise and entrepreneurial ventures.
